GiD Applications

With the modern trend of applying numerical simulations to almost every sphere of engineering, coupled with the continuous increase in computer power, it is not surprising that the biggest bottleneck nowdays when doing a simulation is not the CPU time required to run the analysis. It is rather the time to create the geometry and input the data in a form that the numerical programs understand and the time taken to evaluate the results. The requirements for an effective and easy-to-use system to perform this task is universally acknowledged.

The development of GiD, from the very beginning, has been focused on the needs of the user and on the accuracy, speed and effectivness the user demands from systems like this.

The interface can also be customised so that the user may easily include their own in-house application modules within it and tailor the menu´s and data input to the specific needs of their area of interest such as structural engineering, fluid dynamics and industrial forming processes.
