Importing Geometry
- Formats:
- IGES, DXF, VDA, PARASOLID, ACIS, Shapefile, Rhinoceros.
- Batch files.
- From mesh: NASTRAN, STL, VRML, 3D Studio, GiD mesh.
- Problems that GiD solves:
- Tolerance.
- Entities conversion y topologic reconstruction.
- Gaps.
- Needs of correction filters
Exporting
- Geometry:
- Mesh:
- GiD format
- NASTRAN, ANSYS, Abaqus (.bas)
- User defined mesh output (STL, VRML, DXF, UNV, POV-Ray etc.)
Calculating with a remote server
- You can extend GiD capabilities using ProcServer.
- ProcServer sends the the mesh created by GiD to a remote server, which calculates the results.
- ProcServer is totally integrated within GiD.
