Piezoelectric Ultrasonic Motors - Piezo Tech

Piezo Tech produces various ultrasonic motors; the Tiny Ultrasonic Linear Actuator (TULA), the Piezoelectric Ultrasonic Motor Linear(PUML) and the Piezoelectric Ultrasonic Motor Rotary (PUMR).

The TULA

Next generation actuator driven by linear motion of unimorph or bimorph piezoelectric body.

TULA XX-OOO (XX: diameter of piezoelectric ceramic, OOO:length of the rod)

Operation principle

The operating principle of the TULA is explained by the characteristics of the piezoelectricity and Newton's first law. In other words, the TULA exploits the vibration modes of the piezoelectric ceramic, the inertia principle and the contact force of the friction.

Fetures
