Mechano Transformer's MechaTrans products incorporate multilayer piezoelectric actuators for the control of motion using magnification-demagnification 

Compared to conventional piezoelectric actuators, they are able to achieve increased displacement while maintaining precise positioning and speed of movement.

Features

Mechano Transformer Corporation has developed displacement enlargement mechanisms using a unique lever principle. The enlarged displacement achieves one hundred times that of the piezoelectric device itself and has the following advantages:

  • Capable of movement in less than 1 ms
  • Can be mounted with spacing pitch of less than 2mm
  • Durability of over 1 billion cycles
  • Energy savings due to high effciency energy conversion 
  • Energy consumption in a holding position is very low.
  • Capable of accurate repeatability and precise positioning
